Ingredients
Rava/Semolina fine or coarse

Sugar

Ghee (melted butter)

Cardamom powder
|
1 tspn

Yellow colour/saffron
|
2 drops or 2 strands
|
Broken cashews and sultanas
|
2 tbspn
|
Method
- Heat ghee in a pan, add cashews/sultanas and fry until the cashews become light brown and keep it aside. In the same pan add rava and fry with 2 spoons of ghee for 5 mins until the raw smell goes. Take care not to burn the rava.
- Boil 1 cup of sugar with 2 cups of water adding ½ cup of ghee. Then add yellow colour or saffron and cardamom powder.
- Next add the cashews and sultanas, then pour the rava slowly and mix it thoroughly adding the remaining ghee and mix it well.
- You can either pour this on to a greased tray and cut it into pieces or leave it;
- It’s up to your imagination.
