Curd Rice


Ingredients                                                                                     
Rice
1 cup
Yogurt/curds
1 ½ cup
Mustard seeds
1 ¼ tsp
Urid dhal/channa dhal
1 tsp each
Green chillies
1-2
Oil
1 tbsp
Salt
As per taste
Coriander leaves chopped
2 tsp
Curry leaves
A few leaves











Method
  1. Cook rice and spread it in a bowl to cool.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, urid dhal, channa dhal and fry until light brown in colour, then add green chillies, curry leaves and coriander leaves and turn off the stove.
  3. When the rice is completely cool, add seasoning, salt and curds and mix it well. You can add a little bit of water if it is too thick or milk if the curd is a bit sour.
  4. Serve with your favourite pickle.
