Kesari Bath/Rava Kesari



Ingredients                                         
Rava/Semolina fine or coarse
1 cup
Sugar
1cup
Ghee (melted butter)
1cup
Cardamom powder
1 tspn
Yellow colour/saffron
2 drops or 2 strands
Broken cashews and sultanas
2 tbspn








Method
  1. Heat ghee  in a pan, add cashews/sultanas and fry until the cashews become light brown and keep it aside. In the same pan add rava and fry with 2 spoons of ghee for 5 mins until the raw smell goes. Take care not to burn the rava.
  2. Boil 1 cup of sugar with 2 cups of water adding ½ cup of ghee. Then add yellow colour  or saffron and cardamom powder.
  3. Next add the cashews and sultanas, then pour the rava slowly and mix it thoroughly adding the remaining ghee and mix it well.
  4. You can either pour this on to a greased tray and cut it into pieces or leave it;
  5. It’s up to your imagination.
